Morning coffee, boring glances, obtuse conversation, warm cereal and cold hearts, this is how we start our morning.
The radio fills the car with sound though no-one is listening, careless goodbye dripping with disdain, windshield wipers that brush away emotions, this is how we go to work.
Stacks of paper, business casual hiding cutthroat policy, staplers for closed minds with open mouths, elevators that lift everything but spirits, this is how we conduct our career.
A silent dinner, a loud television, a lonely shower, a king sized bed that feels like a single, saying goodnight to someone you hardly know, this is how we end our day.
This is the sporting life and I refuse to play the game.
